Mark Twain Presents

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn

Mark Twain’s iconic waif, Huckleberry Finn, perhaps even more than Peter Pan, represents the quintessential spirit of boyhood. Huck, Tom Sawyer, Jim, Aunt Sally and Aunt Polly, and even The Duke and the Dolphin are archetypal characters that resonate deeply in the American psyche.

It should be here noted that Twain’s Great American Novel is chock full of pejorative language, which was likely common during his day. I have attempted to remain true to Twain’s story and vision, but without the use of such language. It is my hope that all audiences might enjoy this wonderful coming of age adventure story.

The World Premiere of Mark Twain Presents The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn will be presented by Springhouse Theatre Company in Smyrna, Tennessee June 18-20 & 25-27, 2021. For performance times, tickets and location visit https://springhousetheatre.com.
